1. Project definition
Name the engagement and set the delivery window. The start date and duration drive the Gantt and the monthly FTE profile in step 6.
What to do on this step
- 1.Enter the project name, client and sponsor.
- 2.Set the target start date and duration in months.
- 3.Choose the reporting currency, then record assumptions and exclusions.
Tip: Duration is elapsed delivery time, not effort — effort comes from the requirements you capture in step 3.
